  • Soft-tissue proceduresFrom wound repairs to abdominal surgery, handled in-house by doctors who know your pet.

Why it matters

The same team, before, during and after

Because our surgeries happen in-house, the doctor who examines your pet is part of the team that cares for them through the procedure and recovery - not a stranger they meet the morning of. That continuity means fewer surprises and a plan built around your specific animal.

We'll always walk you through what's involved, what it costs, and what recovery looks like, so you can make the decision that's right for your pet with no pressure.

Pet surgery FAQ

The questions Fort Collins pet owners ask us most before a procedure.

Is anesthesia safe for my pet?
Modern veterinary anesthesia is very safe, especially when it's tailored to the individual pet. We run pre-surgical bloodwork, choose the right protocol for your animal's age and health, and monitor vital signs continuously throughout the procedure.
How should I prepare for surgery day?
In most cases we ask that you withhold food the morning of surgery (water is usually fine) and arrive at your scheduled drop-off time. We'll confirm the exact instructions for your pet when we book the procedure.
Will my pet be in pain afterward?
We take pain seriously. Every surgical patient goes home with a pain-management plan appropriate to their procedure, and we'll show you how to keep them comfortable during recovery.
When can my pet come home?
Many routine surgeries are same-day, with your pet going home the afternoon of the procedure once they're awake and stable. We'll give you clear recovery instructions and a number to call if anything comes up.
